As medical professionals we like to see if there are any underlying concerns or contributing factors to your weight gain. Sometimes the thyroid and other conditions may be a reason for your inability to lose weight. We like to get a baseline of lab work done prior to starting semaglutide and every 6 months during ongoing treatment.
